Original First Edition. 352 pages printed on coated stock, illustrated with color, and black and white historic photographs of mines, trains, and people of the town, facsimile newspaper pages from the 1887 Crystal River Current, and the 1912 Marble City Times, maps, appendix with roster of school teachers from 1893 to 1950, and their salaries, and Federal census of Gunnison County for 1900, bibliography, and index; hardcover, protected by the original clear plastic jacket, very good condition.

A very thorough history of the Crystal River Valley, known as Rock Creek Mining District, and the town of Marble, in the county seat of Gunnison, Colorado; known for its marble quarries, and scenery. (Situated North of Durango, Southwest of Denver, near Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction.) Number 299 of a limited edition.
