Folded once horizontally, slightly toned, trace edge wear, otherwise very good or better.
The illustrations show the Winder, the Circular Plain Knitting Machine, the Circular Ribbed Machine & the Healing & Footing Machine. Prices & brief descriptive text for the equipment are provided. The company's manufacuring facilities were in Franklin, New Hampshire & their offices were at 429 Broadway in New York as indicated in contemporary directories for 1860 & 1861.

Folio broadside, single sheet measuring 14 inches by 8.5 inches printed recto only on pale yellow paper, with an illustration depicting a man reading a newspaper upper left. Moderately browned & soiled, edge wear including a one inch closed tear in the upper margin briefly affecting the first line of text, still Good or better. Soliciting subscriptions, this attractive broadside promoted the venerable Militant newspaper in 1970. The periodical, which is still published, "has a long history in the battle for political and constitutional rights, and against the FBI — the capitalist rulers' political police — and against frame-ups and the rulers' criminal "justice" system."

This copy with extensive annotations in pencil providing notes & prices realized suggesting the original owner was present for the sale. Not found in OCLC as of 7/7/2022. Old folds, shallow loss in the upper margin briefly affecting a few letters, moderately foxed, toned, & soiled, couple of nicks at fold intersects, still an attractive example of a fragile broadside.Producing a significant portion of the armaments used late in the Civil War, the Augusta Arsenal was not surrendered until May 3, 1865.

A fine example. Recognizes Mr Burns as a contributor & participant "in the work of bringing about a return to the fundamental principles of our government." Interestingly, the certificate was printed by the Lithographers' International Protective and Beneficial Association, a union shop.

Charleston, South Carolina: G.W. Aimir, corner of Vanderhorst and King Streets, no date, ca. 1885. Broadside, 8vo (9.5" x 8"), employing different fonts and type sizes, a portion of the text printed vertically along the left margin. OCLC currently locates a single copy at the Library Company of Philadelphia.
Slight edge wear, browned, otherwise very good.
"In severe and painful cases of rheumatism and neuralgia, headaches included, this medicine may be taken every 3 or 4 hours until relieved. ... This preparation, since its introduction to the public in 1875, has gained such a reputation that it requires no advertising …"
George W. Aimar established his pharmacy in 1852. During the Civil War the facility served as an official dispensary for the Confederate States of America and the upper floors were used as a hospital. Ceasing business in 1978, the pharmacy was operated by the Aimar family for 126 years.
