Folded once horizontally, slightly toned, trace edge wear, otherwise very good or better.
The illustrations show the Winder, the Circular Plain Knitting Machine, the Circular Ribbed Machine & the Healing & Footing Machine. Prices & brief descriptive text for the equipment are provided. The company's manufacuring facilities were in Franklin, New Hampshire & their offices were at 429 Broadway in New York as indicated in contemporary directories for 1860 & 1861.

Presents a list of accomplishments as a result of the policies of FDR by year, despite Republican obstruction, as the country emerged from the devastation of the Great Depression. In closing, the text reads as follows:"The Roosevelt Administration has aided business by direct loans, sound banking, encouragement of private investment through long-term, low interest loans, and rebuilding of buying power through the spend-lend program."

Broadside handbill 8vo (8.5" x 5.5") printed recto only on medium paper employing several different fonts & type sizes, with the Illustrated business card of A. Riedinger (sans son, with a different Mt Vernon address), (2.25" x 3.75") accompanying. Moderately toned (particularly the card), trace edge wear, otherwise Very Good. Mr. Riedinger, with or without son, offered his services " in the most elaborate styles and lowest prices [and] interior decorations in the best artistic styles."

St. Louis, [Missouri]: Printed by Jno. McKittrick & Co., no date (ca. 1870s). Folio broadside (21" x 7") printed on light paper, with map showing the route of the railway with a winged train wheel above. OCLC locates 5 copies under 3 accession numbers as of 6/3/2022. Folded once horizontally, brief loss in the margin of two corners, small gouge & associated minute loss just below the fold (now reinforced with archival tissue on the verso), an attractive example. Primarily promotes the availability of land "at low prices on liberal terms" & additionally provides train schedules & fares. Folio broadside, single sheet measuring 14 inches by 8.5 inches printed recto only on pale yellow paper, with an illustration depicting a man reading a newspaper upper left. Moderately browned & soiled, edge wear including a one inch closed tear in the upper margin briefly affecting the first line of text, still Good or better. Soliciting subscriptions, this attractive broadside promoted the venerable Militant newspaper in 1970. The periodical, which is still published, "has a long history in the battle for political and constitutional rights, and against the FBI — the capitalist rulers' political police — and against frame-ups and the rulers' criminal "justice" system."

This copy with extensive annotations in pencil providing notes & prices realized suggesting the original owner was present for the sale. Not found in OCLC as of 7/7/2022. Old folds, shallow loss in the upper margin briefly affecting a few letters, moderately foxed, toned, & soiled, couple of nicks at fold intersects, still an attractive example of a fragile broadside.Producing a significant portion of the armaments used late in the Civil War, the Augusta Arsenal was not surrendered until May 3, 1865.

Chicago: Amalgamated Union Label, LIP & BA, 1936 issued to Wm. E Burns of Lynbrook, New York, 1936 Small broadside (3.5" x 7") printed recto only, with portrait vignettes of Lincoln & Washington.
A fine example. Recognizes Mr Burns as a contributor & participant "in the work of bringing about a return to the fundamental principles of our government." Interestingly, the certificate was printed by the Lithographers' International Protective and Beneficial Association, a union shop.

No place [Newark, New Jersey]: no publisher [Phoenix Manufacturing Company], no date ca. 1880's. Original broadsheet circular measuring 13.75 inches by 9 inches printed on light paper, with three illustrations from woodcuts. Not found in OCLC Worldcat as of 8/8/2022. Folded once horizontally, couple of shallow, soft creases at corners, otherwise Near Fine & clearly uncirculated. The illustrated recto provides the seven safety features of the burner, the verso provides testimonials & rather gruesome reporting of kerosene disasters:"Mother and Child burned to Death.""Elmira, Feb. 22. - A four-year old son of J.H. Miller, of this city, tipped a lighted lamp from the table yesterday morning and was burned to death by the explosion and fire which ensued. His mother hastened to his rescue, and battled with the flames until the little one died. She then ran from the house with her garments blazing and fell in the snow. Losses in the margins not affecting text, Good or better. Apparently in support of mayoral candidate James B Gaston, the broadside advocates "Human Rights and Equal Justice under the Law for our women and children" which would best be accomplished by the defeat of "the unjust Judge."

Lightly browned along the right & left margins, slight edge wear, otherwise Very Good. Describes conditions in New York City public high schools as perceived by the Socialist Workers Party, particularly with regard to bias & racism directed at African American & Puerto Rican students. Additionally presents the party's demands which include "all cops get out of the schools, that the demonstration school districts be restored under community control, and that Black and Puerto Rican people control Black and Puerto Rican education" Quite uncommon, not found in OCLC

Charleston, South Carolina: G.W. Aimir, corner of Vanderhorst and King Streets, no date, ca. 1885. Broadside, 8vo (9.5" x 8"), employing different fonts and type sizes, a portion of the text printed vertically along the left margin. OCLC currently locates a single copy at the Library Company of Philadelphia.
Slight edge wear, browned, otherwise very good.

George W. Aimar established his pharmacy in 1852. During the Civil War the facility served as an official dispensary for the Confederate States of America and the upper floors were used as a hospital. Ceasing business in 1978, the pharmacy was operated by the Aimar family for 126 years.
