[Havana, Cuba]: Nuevo Fabrica de Hielo, SA, no date (ca 1925). First edition. Octavo (8.25" x 5"), 32 pages, illustrations from photographs throughout.Original pictorial, stapled, light card covers.
Soiled, foxed, couple small holes in the upper cover, moderate edge wear (including short tears & creasing), staples replaced, Good or so. Provides concise historical sketches of old Havana with accompanying illustrations. Additionally, of course, the pamphlet touts the company's beers which are "insuperable exquisite world-over known products, are our national pride, made 100% with the finest malts and best hops."
Quite uncommon, this version not found in OCLC although two copies with a variant publisher (described as the third edition) are located, one at the University of Illinois & another at the University of the West Indies as of 5/28/2023.

Limited to 250 copies, this unnumbered & out of series. 8vo, x & 350 pp, indexed, Illustrated by numerous photogravure plates & line drawings. Publisher's full pebbled brown morocco lettered in gilt on spine, with pink satin marker sewn in.
Lightly rubbed, brief wear at corners, gift inscription at title page, front hinge cracking, otherwise very good.
Maya Deren, born Eleanora Derenkowskaia, is highly regarded as the mother of avant-garde film making She visited Haiti between 1947 and 1954 funded by a Guggenheim fellowship where she wrote Divine Horsemen and filmed what would become a posthumously released documentary of the same name.

Description:
Havana, San Juan de Dios y Villegas: Impresos Martin, no date (ca. 1949). Illustrated brochure, bifolium (9.5" x 6.25"), 4 pages, with photographic illustration depicting General Wood, who founded the Fronton, & teammates at page 4.
Removed from a scrapbook leaving glue staining & scuffing at the upper margin of the last page, old folds, creasing, edge wear including a couple of short tears & small losses, good or so & still quite useful.
Presents "description & rules of the game" on pp. 2 & 3.
This fronton was established in 1901 by General Leonard Wood, then military governor of Cuba. The facility, now in ruins, closed in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution when Fidel Castro banned sporting or recreational events involving betting.

Description:
No place [Havana ?]: Revista Musical Cubana, 1952. Broadside Handbill, octavo (8.75" x 5.5"), 1 pp., with separate publicity photo of Santos (5.25" 3.5"), rubber-stamoed on the verso apparently relative to his later tour of Venezuala.
Broadside with small losses at the corners affecting one letter, old folds, toned, otherwise good or better. Photo corner creased, some loss of emulsion in the margins of the upper corners, rubber-stamping a bit obscure, still good.
Daniel Santos, Peurto Rican singer & composer, lived & performed in Havana from 1946 until 1952. Active in the Puerto Rican Independence Movement, he also was a supporter of Fidel Castro but came to believe the Cuban Revolution was not nationalistic.

Toned, margins lightly browned, shallow creasing at corners, moderate edge wear including a couple of nicks & a half inch tear at the bottom, otherwise good or better.
Firmly in the grip of Santo Trafficante Jr. & other American Mafioso, the Sans Souci Night Club was closed on January 1, 1959 by decree following the Cuban Revolution & the advent of Fidel Castro.
