Scranton, Pennsylvania: Woman's Institute of Domestic Arts & Sciences, (1933 - 1938). Later printings. Octavos (8" x 5.25"), variously paginated, illustrated throughout. Publisher's black fabricoid over flexible boards lettered in gilt on the spines & embossed in blind on the upper covers.
Moderately rubbed, brief edge wear, one volume with faint dampstain at the upper margin pervasive throughout & small tissue repair at the verso of the title page, text a bit toned, occasional brief pencil annotations in the margins, generally very good or better.

The Woman's Institute of Domestic Arts & Sciences was founded by Mary Boone Picken 1n 1914. Ms. Picken, an authority on dress, fabric, design, and sewing, wrote 96 books on the subject.
