Slightly soiled, trace edge wear, otherwise Near Fine.
A great I.O.O.F. memento in unusually nice condition:
"The object of the Association shall be to give financial aid and assistance to the widows, orphans, heirs or assignees of deceased members."

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: [Patriotic Order Sons of America, State Camp of Pennsylvania], 1918. "Revised edition." 24mo (6" x 4.25"), 112 pages. Original stapled paper wraps. OCLC locates computer files or internet resource only for a 1925 edition as of 12/16/2023.
Moderately soiled, upper wrap with a couple of tears (now reinforced with archival tissue on the verso) small chip at the lower cover, otherwise very good.
Founded in Philadelphia in 1847, the Patriotic Order Sons of America was originally an anti-Catholic, anti-immigration Know-Nothing society. Although their principles evolved over the years, as of 1918 they were still quite anti-immigrant. Membership was restricted to "native born citizens who believe in their country and its institutions, and who desire to perpetuate free government, and who wish to encourage a brotherly feeling among Americans to the end that we may exalt our country, to join with us in our work of fellowship and love."

Sextodecimo (6.75" x 5.25"), 12 unnumbered pages plus 4 unused pages for notes. In original stapled stiff paper wraps, the front cover depicting the flag of the Confederate States of America.
One staple a bit rusted, slight edge wear & toning, otherwise Near Fine.
