Quite uncommon, OCLC finds a single copy at the Wisconsin Historical Society.

Prior, although several states permitted some exceptions, abortion was essentially illegal in the United States. Interestingly, the New York legislation did not include a residency requirement, as Hawaii did, and in the first two years, women from other states accounted for 60% of abortions in New York. Known primarily for her mystery fiction, author Rinehart, often called the American Agatha Christie, directs her appeal to the mothers of the United States noting that "Personal service is not rolling bandages for the other woman's son."
This title was published in April, 1917, the same month when the United States reversed its neutrality stance & declared war on the German Empire.

Binding rubbed & scuffed, joints cracked, upper cover nearly detached, shallow losses at spine extremities, front free endpaper nearly detached, previous owner's name in old ink at front pastedown, browning & foxing throughout, otherwise Good & still quite serviceable.
This book was printed by Lydia R. Bailey, an early American female printer who was competitive in a trade dominated by men. She took over her husband's failing business upon his death.

Alice Duer Miller's gathering of satirical poetry, prose, & a three-page play all related to women's rights & suffrage, much of which was originally published in the New York Tribune. Particularly engaging is the section entitled "Campaign Material" in which Ms. Miller provides tongue-in-cheek reasons for denying suffrage:
"BECAUSE no woman will leave her domestic duties to vote;
Because no women who may vote will attend to her domestic duties;
Because every woman will vote as her husband tells her to; ...
Because will form a solid party and outvote men ..."

A stunning image of sexy Lulu, almost certainly a Burlesque/ striptease performer for whom we could no further information. Photographer Kriegsmann, who was considered one of the best photographers in the United States, was the official in-house photographer for Harlem's Cotton Club.

Binding lightly faded & soiled, corners bruised, otherwise Very Good. Internally, a bit age toned, otherwise Fine. Pages 1 through 69, recorded in different inks excepting 4, are hand-numbered, very occasionally dated, with several initialed "L.D.C." presumably written sequentially between the mid to late fifties & early sixties (as suggested primarily by correspondence). Pages 53 & 54 comprise a poem entitled "Two Graves" which are typed & pasted in. A Fine uncirculated copy Provides the text of a speech delivered by Anselma Dell'Olio at the Congress to Unite Women on May 30, 1970. Ms. Dell'Olio explains her dissatisfaction & provides reasons for leaving the movement to "return to the hordes of women living out their lives in quiet desperation." The author, who founded the New Feminist Theater, poignantly warns that "rage, masquerading as a pseudo-egalitarian radicalism under the 'pro-woman' banner," was turning into "frighteningly vicious anti-intellectual fascism of the left." Quite uncommon, OCLC locates two copies of this edition & another three variants.
