If you see the publications of the Pontifical Biblical Institute at all, they are invariably softbound with the heavy paper covers but this one is hardbound. The binding has bowed somewhat and there is some type of heavy scraping near the bottom of the side cover panel edge, maybe a little more than an inch. The endpapers have toned somewhat but the page block is clean. Some faint fading to bottom inch of front cover panel. This is a larger book, measuring about 9" x 13". Text in Akkadian cuneiform. Editorial material and definitions in German (chiefly in longhand). Cuneiform text includes Codex Hammurabi and selections from literary and other works. $70.00
