Herter's, 1969. Paperback. Good. 20th edition of this amazing book. Part cookbook, part history book, part...? I would love to see an annotated copy of this where someone has gone through and fact-checked the whole thing. It is a fun and fantastic read, at the very least. This is a copy in an odd condition. It's the softcover bound in gold covers with some wear to the edges, but someone has drilled four holes through the book. My best guess is that they were drilling holes in something else on top of it, but I really have no idea. It is still a very readable copy. The interior is very clean, just...holey. What appear to be smudges on the exterior I believe to actually be rubbing that took off the "gold" layer of the cover.  See the photos. It's one heck of a book.

Constable, 2013. Hardcover. VG. British Military Grub Since 1707 VG copy in decorated boards. Corners are bumped, some are worn. Interior is clean.

Random House, 2007. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Carlisle vs. Army: Jim Thorpe, Dwight Eisenhower, Pop Warner, and the Forgotten Story of Football's Greatest Battle FIne copy, as new.

Simon & Schuster, 2008. Hardcover. VG/Good+. VG copy, signed by author on the title page. Book has a name written on the front endpaper and bottom corners are bumped and split. First 30 pages have faint water mark on the bottom corner, nickel-sized. DJ is heavily worn and marked but intact. It will be put in a jacket protector before shipping.

Quixote Press, 2000. Other. Fine. Laminated covers with plastic comb binding, appears new.

Pocket, 1978. Paperback. VG. John Thompson. Solid VG copy with white covers discoloring from age. Minor edge wear, a nick at the top edge of the front cover and one on the bottom edge of the back cover. There is an ink mark across the top edge of the page block. Interior is clean but browning. Illustrations are brilliant and I want prints of them.

Little, Brown and Company, 1964. Hardcover. Good/Good. Later printing. Classic novel of the Revolutionary War. Ex-library, with stamps all over, DJ taped into cover, card pocket on back endpaper. Text is clean and quite nice - they used good paper in this one!

A Book of Beasts Fabulous & Authentic Selected from Philemon Holland's Translation of Pliny 1601 and Edward Topsell's "Historie of Foure-Footed Beastes" 1607 & his "Historie of Serpents" 1608 & edited by M. St Clare Byrne VG copy. Matte, textured cover shows some rubbing and light soil; front corners are curling. Gift shop stamp on flyleaf, interior otherwise clean.

University of Wisconsin, 1981. Paperback. VG. VG copy in white wraps with brown text. Front and back cover have tape residue at the top of the spine and light wear. Half-title page has a bookstore stamp. Interior is otherwise clean, with no highlighting or underlining.

Clarion, 1984. Hardcover. Good/Good. Photography by George Ancona. "The First Thanksgiving Feast re-creates this first harvest festival. It was photographed at Plimoth Plantation, a living history museum of 17th-century life in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The museum uses an alternate spelling to distinguish it from the town itself. The people at Plimoth Plantation, called interpreters, live and speak just as the Pilgrims did. The indians are Wampanoags, descendents of the Native People who were ina large part responsible for the survival of the Plymouth colony. The dialogue is fictional. Ballantine, 2002. Hardcover. VG/VG. The Glorious Cause: A Novel of the American Revolution VG copy. Shiny foil cover has a few scratches, bumping at the top of the spine. A dozen pages or so have been lightly creased at the bottom corner.

Scholastic, 1970. Paperback. VG-. Robert Geary. Scholastic TK 1415 VG- condition. Solid with clean interior. Cover heavily creased and rubbed; spine creases; name written in marker on front cover.

Putnam, 1964. Hardcover. Good/none. A nice reference book aimed at children that goes into the historical significance of heraldry, how to read heraldric devices and the designs and terminology for the creation of them. This is an ex-library book, and as such, the highest I will grade it is "good". It has no dust jacket. It is in yellow cloth, which appears to be original. It is lightly soiled, with library numbers on the spine. The front endpapers have a pocket glued in as well as stamping. There are a few library pencil marks, and another stamp on the copyright page. Otherwise, it is a lightly-used copy.
