About This Item

New York: William Morrow & Co., 2002. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. A late collection of short stories from Bradbury, one of the great American writers of the 20th century. This collection contains 18 new stories and seven previously published but not found in any other of Bradbury's collected works. First edition, first printing (as stated, with complete numberline). About 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, 289 pages in grey paper-covered boards with black cloth backstrip, author's name centered on front cover and red lettering on spine. Dustjacket's pictorial front panel shows "Model T" style car filled with story characters and followed by a dragon with a "451" route sign in lower right corner. Back panel repeats motif with six blurbs of praise in white lettering against blue background. Boards and text are complete, clean and unmarked, with no noticeable flaws or damage. No tears, no chipping, no bumped corners. Not remaindered, not ex-libarary. Dustjacket shows only a touch of residue from sticker in upper corner of front panel and perhaps a touch of edgewear. No tears, no scratches, no creasing. Not price-clipped. A very collectable copy of this story collection, published in the year of Bradbury's death.
