[These booklets were written by Walter and Will Ingwersen, and issued from the world-famous Ingwersen nursery at Gravetye, West Sussex, as “quarterly handbooks” during the latter half of the war. They were simply produced, not illustrated, but properly printed, issued without covers, and give highly detailed descriptions and information which was not easily found elsewhere at that time, and which is still of immense use nearly eighty years later.
