The dates on the copyright pages note 1962, but the presence of an ISBN suggests a date of after 1969, and the modern style and condition of the bindings suggests that these were printed in the 1990s.

The book was published in 2009 but actually has a 2010 copyright date.

Illustrated with 15 folding copperplate engravings. Text is toned and in some places quite browned. Text is in French. Volume 3 only.
