This copy was well loved and read. Some underlining on several pages. The cover hinges are loose but still attached. The pages are toned from age and there points of foxing. The illustrations are not written on or otherwise marred. The covers are faded and the paper on the cover spine has chips. Overall condition is fair.

The covers have wear on the edges.An inscription and a name sticker is on the front end page. Pages have toning that look to me to be the way they were from the beginning but could be from age. The illustrations are unblemished. Other than the cover damage mentioned earlier the book is in very good condition. The binding is tight and the pages do not have markings.

This wonderfully illustrated well loved book has wear on the edges. A paper tear on the spine. The pages are clean and secured in the binding and free of scribbling and markings. There is a small tear at the bottom of second to last page without the loss of paper. There is a handwritten gift inscription dated 1946 on the front end page. The hinge papers are torn but the boards are still attached by the cloth binding.

Generalized shelf wear to the covers. The cover spine is void of the wrap around pictorial covers. A child's name is written on the FEP and again on the tittle page. Page are in very good condition with occasional foxing from fingerprints. Illustrations are bright and as wonderful as ever.
String binding. All pages are bound.

This is a often read but cared for book.

Color pictorial endpapers. [39] pp., [1] pp. advertisement. The book tells the rest of the story of the old woman who lived in a shoe.
