Published by Constable & Co. Ltd., 1917. 1st edition.. Hardback. Good. Illustrated by Rackham, Arthur. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Adds 40 more stories to the 60 which Rackham already illustrated several years earlier. The violence and grotesqueries have been toned down conveying instead a wealth of humour and charm throughout. 12 beautiful tipped-in colour plates plus 43 b/w drawings. Large format. Green cloth, gilt titles and vignette. Pictorial endpapers and title page. 250 pages. Top corner/edge of front cover had semi-circular piece missing (depth 8mm, width of 22mm). Covers a little marked. Bumping to corners. Browning to endpapers. Some page edges uncut. Frontis has light corner creases. All plates present.
