A very good copy with bending at the spine tips and some fading along the board edges being the only flaws. Dustjacket is also very good with matching wear to the spine panel tips, corners not clipped. 322 pp., indexed, black and white photos throughout. Wickwire's autobiography of climbing peaks around the world.

Postcard laid in at front saying "Please accept...autographed copy of Kenny Moore's fantastic biography...." from a local Eugene, OR business. Black and cream hardcover, 5th printing in dustjacket. A very good copy with crimping at the spine tips and shallow bump to the rear joint. Clean, tight, and straight - as if unread. The dustjacket is also very good, unclipped with matching wear at the head of the spine panel and an indention on the rear panel matching the bump on the rear joint of the book. A crisp and attractive jacket. 432 pp., indexed, with two black and white photo inserts. The epic biography of Bill Bowerman who let the Mighty Ducks Track and Field program for decades and had his part in designing the shoe that created Nike.

Seattle: Cloudcap, 1994. First edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Yellow hardcover, 1st edition, in dustjacket. A good+ copy with bending at the corners and spine tips. Interior is clean, tight and unmarked. The dustjacket is also quite good, but with sun-fading to the spine panel and matching bending at the corners andl tips. 463 pp., some color and b/w photos. The story of the Burgess brothers and their magnificent climbing stories - a mountaineering classic.

New York: Fleet Publishing Corporation, 1964. Hardcover. Good/good. Gray cloth hardcover with dustjacket. No statement of edition, 1964 is the only date. A good copy with general wear at the corners and spine ends, light soiling to the gray covers. Text is clean and unmarked and the binding is solid though lacking in tightness. Unclipped jacket with a $3.95 price point is in good conly condition. Much scuffing to the panels and a 2" tear at the top of the rear panel. White rear panel is browned and soiled, short chips at the head and heel of the spine panel. 116 pp., some black and white photos at center. An early biography of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, with one of his poems gracing the rear dustjacket panel.

Michigan: Revell, 2011. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Signed by the author on the free-endpaper in silver pen, "All the best, Pat Williams 2011." A very good hardcover, 1st edition, in dust jacket. Some bending at the corner and spine tips, otherwise a clean, tight copy in like dustjacket.. Bright and attractive. 186 pp., bibliography. Pat Williams, of Orlando Magic fame, provides his insights into the life principles and character of legendary coach John Wooden.

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2015. First edition. Hardcover. Fair/fair. Nicely signed, roughly treated. Signed boldly by Nyad on the first blank in black sharpie, no inscription. Blue hardcover in dustjacket, stated first edition, no number-line. A fair copy of both book and dustjacket. Notably edgeworn with bumping and discoloration along the bottom edge, and spine ends impacted. Binding is cocked forward and although all pages are still bound in, there is a feeling of looseness. Joints and hinges are solid. All pages are clean and unmarked other than the author's signature. The dustjacket is shiny and bright, not clipped, but suffers from a series of small toothmarks at the top of the front and rear panels, spineward - otherwise this would be a very nice jacket. 308 pp., color photo inserts corresponding to the areas of looseness in the binding.

New York: Millpond Press, 2002. Hardcover. Good/good. Red hardcover with gilt titles in dustjacket. A good+ copy with some wear to the cover edges and bending at the lower corners. Bumping to the front edge of the front cover. Pages are clean and binding is solid. Unclipped dustjacket is also good but with some minor staining spineward, and crinkling along the panel edges. 186 pp., indexed, color and b/w photos throughout. A history of Babilonia and Gardner's 30 years as skating partners.

Yellow and blue paper covered boards, stated first printing, in dustjacket. A very good copy, clean and tight, with minor wear at the board edges, more pronounced at the spine tips. Minor bend upward to the rear board. Interior is unmarked other than the author's signature. The unclipped jacket is bright and attractive with minor shelf-wear at the panel edges, and a bit of scuffing. 257 pp., some black and white photos, an autobiography from the superbowls champion and Steeler's legend.

Signed by racing legend Mark Martin on a limitation sticker on the front endpaper - number 1384 of 2000 copies in this run by David Bull publishers. Blue hardcover with silver titles, limited edition with a full number line, in dustjacket. A very good copy of the book, with minimal wear to the board edges and a bit of rounding at the corners. A clean and solid copy. The dustjacket is not quite as good with a tear at the bottom of the front panel spineward, scuffing, and some chipping and ruffling along the panel edges. 191 pp., full of color photographs and reminiscences from one of stock car racing's winningest drivers.

South Dakota: Dakota Homestead Publishers, 1988. First printing. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed by Torchy on the facing page without inscription. 1st printing hardcover in jacket. A clean, beautiful copy in yellow cloth. Minor edgewear and some crimping at the spine tips. A solid copy with some light bumping to the top corners of the textblock. Dustjacket is not as good, with two tears (one to the head of the spine and one to the bottom of the front panel), and overall scuffing. 298 pp., indexed, filled with black and white photos. An autobiography, but also a story of the University of Washington sports and the impact Torrance made on their programs.

A very good copy - bright and clean with some shelf-wear to the bottom edge of the front cover. 250 pp., black and white photos throughout. The inspiring story of a young man's determination to excel in spite of a debilitating injury in his youth.

Fosbury's passing in early 2023 was a blow to the track and field community in Oregon, where he pioneered the Fosbury Flop - used by most competitors in the high jump to this day.
