A clean tight copy, unmarked other than the author's inscription. Unclipped dustjacket is very good - bright and attractive with minimal wear to the panel edges. 245 pp., the story of a terrorist attack averted by three alert and heroic American travelers. Alek Skarlatos, who signed this copy, has run for Oregon 4th Congressional District - US House of Representatives in two elections.

A good copy - clean and tight, but with minor bending at the upper corners and spine tips. Unclipped jacket is not as good with scuffing to the panels visible as white against the dark green paper, some chips and bending at the panel edges, and an indiction that the book was stored next to some spiral bound materials that have dug into the dustjacket at the joints leaving small punctures to the paper which have minimally ground through to the book joints . 226 pp., indexed, with one fold-out map toward the front of the book. Unclipped dustjacket is good but with a crinkly bend to the head of the spine panel that doesn't seem to want to flatten out - still bright and attractive. A thick volume at 610 pp., indexed, many black and white photos. A detailed history of the American Legion and the programs they created to assist United States Military Veterans.

A true 1st printing in dustjacket, lacking the national book award badge. A very good copy with crinkling and bending at the spine tips being the only damage - the head of the spine is particular bent into the rear joint. Clean, unmarked pages in a solid binding as if unread. Corners straight. Jacket is bright and attractive with the $27 price intact, and matching wear to the spine tips, including a short tear to the top of the rear panel from the spine crimping. Powell's Books sticker to the rear panel indicating that this came from a public speaking event in February of 2012 - left intact for provenance. 256 pp., Boo's first book.

A very good copy, with no indication of edition. Clean blue cloth with silver titles and illustrations. Minor dust and speckling to the text block edges and a hard bump at the top center of the rear board edge. Corners and spine ends straight. Solid binding and interior is clean an unmarked other than the author's inscription. The dustjacket is much worse - fair at best with a 4 inch tear up fold between the spine and the front panel and damp staining to the inside bottom of the rear panel - not reflected on the book. Chips, tears and scuffing - an unfortunate jacket for a very nice book. 314 pp., indexed, illustrations in color and black and white throughout. A beautiful book once you take the jacket off.

Signed and inscribed by Chicano author and poet Nephtali De Leon on the title page, "Para Salvador Ramirez, quien me enseno a comprendar el carino de nuestro pueblo." Which translates roughly to "for Salvador Ramirez, who taught me to understand the love of our people." A good only copy with heavy wear at the cover edges - scuffing to the covers and a crease to the rear cover. Inside the front cover there is some browning - appears to be from old glue - but not library indications. Mr. Ramirez has used his personal name stamp on the title page and on the last page. Pages are unmarked otherwise and the binding is intact and not split. 95 pp., with illustrations by the author.

Large gift inscription on the front pastedown. Blue hardcover, lacking dustjacket, 18th printing in fair condition - heavily worn. Covers split through to the boards at the corners and joints with soil from handling and some staining. A hard bump to the top of the front board. Interior is much better - binding and hinges are solid, and no additional markings other than the mentioned signature and inscriptions at the front. The half-title page is creased but intact. 318 pp. black and white illustrations by Kuhn. This children's novel was the basis for Disney's live-action film "Westward Ho The Wagons."
