A good copy but with wear to the cover edges and bending to the corner tips and spine ends. Some soiling and stained spots to the cloth covers and the gilt lettering is brighter in some spots than others. Small tear to the cloth at the upper front joint, and mild fraying at the corner tips. Interior is much better. Previous owner's name and date neatly to the front free-endpaper, binding and hinges are solid though lacking tightness. Pages are age-toned, but clean and unmarked. 613 pp., black and white plates throughout. A strange mix of travel, history, and Biblical creationism.

Gray hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. A good+copy but with crimping to the spine tips and some bumping along the top of the textblock edge. Binding and hinges are solid and the pages are unmarked other than the author's inscription. Unclipped jacket is also good+ with a short tear at the bottom of the rear fold and minor crinkling and scuffing to the panels, still bright and attractive. 495 pp., indexed, some black and white photos.

A very good copy with a shallow tear to the marbling on the front cover, minor wear and scuffing to the edges and tips. Binding solid, pages clean and unmarked. 117 pp., black and white photos throughout. Text in Danish - the story of a whaling ship's expedition to the South Sea.

Oregon: Binfords & Mort, 1972. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. Gray cloth with blue titles. Signed and personalized for Christmas 1972 by the author on the front endpaper in blue ink. Lightest of wear to the edges, otherwise a fine signed copy of this title, lacking dust jacket. 181 pp., some photos accompany the text.
