Hi, This lot is an Original 1896 Wisden Paperback with facsimile spine and 16 Adverts, the covers are Original. This is in Very Good condition, the covers have a few marks , mainly to the front and there are 16 facsimile adverts within that are very nicely made and internally it is a good book, with an excellent Photoplate of Grace,light spotting to tissue paper and page block. New spine professionally added which makes the book readable and stops it falling apart. Condition (Out of 10) = 8

Hi, This lot is an 1896 Original Paperback Wisden. It is in OK Condition This book has had no restoration. It is a bit shaken and although i would describe it as tightly bound, i wouldnt want to drop it down the stairs or be rough with it as the spine may go. The covers are a bit worn, small loss to the top left of the front cover and a couple of lines to the rear cover, the spine paper exist but is very ruffled. Nice clean pages inside and excellent photoplate. 100% original but showing its age. Condition (Out of 10) = 5

Hi, This lot is the extremely scarce 1896Original Hardback Wisden. The First hardback.In Very Good condition. This book has bright gilt to the front and the spine, the hinges are not springy but intact and in great order. There are some marks to the boards mainly to the rear , some small dots as shown. Nice yellow pastedowns and clean pages within. The photoplate of WG has some light spotting around the edge and to the edge of the tissue paper. Nice white pages within. A rare Wisden in such good condition condition and a very nice price, the record sale for an 1896 is 26,000. Condition (Out of 10) = 8

Hi, This lot is an 1896 Original Wisden , Rebound without the Rear Cover It is in Good+ condition. The binding is quite common and collectable in brown with gilt to the spine. The front cover is very good, alas the rear cover is missing bt otherwise complete. Tightly bound with clean pages within and a super photoplate of WG. Reduced Condition (Out of 10) = 8

Hi, This is an 1896 Original Paperback Wisden, It is an original but has facsimile parts which include the covers and spine. Also pages 355-368 and the rear fixtures and adverts are facsimile but well made. Inside the pages are very white but have quite a few underlines to the text, the majority in pencil. The covers are excellent. Excellent original WG photoplate. Condition (Out of 10) = 7

Hi, This lot is an 1896 Rebound Wisden This book is in Very Good Condition, The boards are in light brown with gilt to the spine. The book is very nice inside , no covers or adverts but if that is part of your strategy this is a super book to own as it has super white pages and has hardly been read in all these years. This lot is in very good condition, nice covers without major marks, but some darkening to the covers, internally very nice and white and excellent photoplate of Grace with tissue paper. Hi, This lot is an 1897 Original Paperback Wisden. It is in Good Condition due to the spine paper. Other than the spine it is in very nice condition. This book has had no restoration. The spine paper is missing but due to the string used back in the late 1800s the book is still tightly bound, the covers are nice just worn at the edges , there is about an inch of detachment at the base of the spine/front cover. Internally it is a very nice and clean , even around the photoplate the book has minimal spotting. A very hard year to find in paperback. 100% original, shame about the spine paper but a great gap filler as you do not find many 1897 paperbacks in original form. Condition (Out of 10) = 7

This book is bound in brown boards with gilt to the spine, facsimile covers are expertly made as are the adverts that follow, pages inside are quite worn with some loss to the rear pages has a read feel to it but it is complete, with photoplate and tightly bound. Hi, We recently purchased 14 Wisdens from the Robin Marlar collection. His books are bound in green with gilt to the spine and ""Robin Marlar"" to the base of the rear board. Robin Marlar played county cricket for Sussex between 1951 and 1968 and was their Captain at some point. This lot is an 1897 Wisden, rebound with the front cover. This book is in Good+ Condition, it has some loss to the top right of the front cover and no rear cover otherwise complete. Internally nice and clean, some darkness around the photoplate. Excellent photoplate and binding. Condition (Out of 10) = 8

The covers are in OK condition as some loss to the corners to front and rear , however , the pages are very tall and clean , it is very nice inside including the photoplate , no spotting of note. This lot (if you ignore the spine) is in very good condition, nice covers without major marks, smll loss to the front corner , some nicks to the edge. Small loss to rear cover corner. Nice inside, a touch shaken but still tightly bound, it has 1897 Wisden's Cricketers' Almanack 1897 printed to the spine. Minimal foxing , nice photoplate, hard year to find in all forms. Hi, This lot is an 1897 Original Wisden , Rebound to the title page (hence no covers or adverts) It is in Good+ condition. The binding is in green-blue , it is a bit old with some marks, it is very well bound though. The internal pages are very nice and clean, some trimming but no loss of text and speckles to the page block with an excellent photoplate and tissue paper. Hi, This lot is an 1897 Original Wisden , Rebound with blue boards and gilt to the spine, bound to the title page hence no covers or adverts. The boards are in blue and it was bound a while ago so it feels a bit old, internally however it is excellent, clean pages and tightly bound with photoplate a nice cheap way to add an original 1897 to your set. Strategy 1. Hard year to find. Strategy 1 is the term we use for the ""grab any book for that year"" strategy irrespective of content and condition, could be mint could be a bit tatty but at the right price. This being a rebind in good condition at a great price makes it fit that strategy perfectly. It would also make a great gift. Condition (Out of 10) = 7
