Two small metal pins, both smaller than one inch across, one for the Bach Mai Hospital (destroyed by US bombs in 1971, leading to a movement by anti-war activists to help rebuild it), the other for the Vietnam Friendship Village, an institution founded in Hanoi in 1992 by Vietnam veteran George Mizo to care for victims of Agent Orange.

n.p.: Unemployed Citizens' Welfare Improvement Council, [197-]. 1.5 inch diameter pin depicting a hand reaching upward with a broken shackle; very good. The Canadian organization, whose acronym was pronounced "You Quick," organized welfare recipients to demand better services.

Pinback Button. 1.75 inch pin, made by pasting a round piece of printed and crudely hand-colored paper with the People's Party logo (fists breaking chains) over a pre-existing pinback button. The underlying button is not possible to identify. n.p., 1973. 2.25 inch diameter pin, very good. J.B. (Pike) Johnson was a 23-year-old Black man sentenced as an accomplice in the killing of a policeman. There were numerous problems with the trial, including mishandling of evidence in police custody and an affidavit signed by the killer asserting that Johnson had nothing to do with the incident; his case became a cause for activists in various parts of the country.

San Francisco: NG Slater, n.d.. 2.25 inch diameter pin, blue and yellow, from the movement to make King's birthday a holiday in the University of California system. Also included is a smaller pin that simply says "King Day Jan. 15th," made by NG Slater in New York.

New York: Mfg. by NG Slater, 1968. Pinback Button. 1.5 inch diameter pin, very good. Gregory tried to run as the Peace and Freedom Party candidate, but after the nominating convention chose Eldridge Cleaver over him as the national candidate, he still ran a write-in campaign in several states, and in fact garnered more votes than Cleaver. He had different running mates in different states.
