Description:
Exceptionally rare, out-of-print copy of a never-before-published title by Freemason Albert Pike.
The source of Albert Pike`s ritual revisions, transcribed from the original copy in the archives vault of the Supreme Council.
This never-before-published work includes the complete collection of rituals which Albert Pike received when he joined the Scottish Rite in 1853. After receiving the degrees, Pike borrowed the manuscript rituals, and over the next two years he transcribed his own copies. He later used these texts to create his revision of the Scottish Rite rituals. This book answers the question: "What was the Scottish Rite like before Albert Pike?"
Contents include the three Craft Degrees (from an early French source); all Scottish Rite rituals; the Adoniramite Rite; the Degrees of Knighthood; the True Masonry of Adoption (the androgynous `Adoptive Rite`); and much more.
Includes Pike`s original drawings and Masonic ciphers.
An introduction by Ill. Bro. de Hoyos provides insight into these… Read More

Description:
This is a FULL set of Arnold J Toynbee's encyclopedia A Study of History in 12 volumes, published by Oxford University Press.
Publication dates range from the 1930s through the 1950s. Includes the later Reconsiderations, published as volume 11, and the Historical Atlas and Gazetteer.
Books are in very good condition. The only thing of note is that the first 6 volumes have repaired dust jackets, where the spine is original and the covers have been replaced. The quality of the replacements is very good and they've held up very well. Dust jackets and covers show normal wear for age. All pages are bright. Bindings secure. Text unobscured.
It doesn't appear that the second half of the set, volumes 7-12 were ever read. The bindings are surprisingly tight for their age.
Rare to find this history in the complete 12 volumes.
