William H. Wise & Company, 1934. Hardcover. Good. Gorgeous book, no dust jacket, but we're uncertain if it ever had one. These boards are beautiful, why would you want to cover them up? Textured material and beautifully embossed title and design. A gorgeous embossed/debossed image of a pegasus within a garland design. The boards have a very antiqued type of finish, with the crevices of the textured design being darker than the almost gold/brass hue of the boards. The spine has darkened, but designed and titling are visible. Shelf wear along top and bottom edges of boards and spine. Lightly bumped corner tips. Lower corner of text block is soiled by fingerprint smudges. Front paste down has small sticker with name of previous owner. Pages are toned, with a few cracks in the gutters beginning to manifest. Binding is good. Eight color plates, with many more in black & white. 439 pages.

Andres Bello University, 2012. Hardcover. Acceptable. EX LIBRARY BOOK. IN SPANISH. Has stamps, stickers, and card pocket. Cover is rubbed and lightly scuffed with one or two light scratches. Colorful pictorial boards. Lower corner tip and bottom of spine are bumped and dinged. Upper tips are bumped, but not as badly as the lower portion of board. Beautiful glossy photographs on heavy, slick paper stock fill the book and accompanying text is in SPANISH. Out of print book. Gilt is still bright. Gently bent corner tips. Darkening around edges of pastedowns and in the hinges. Pencil erasure on FFE. Clean pages, with some age-toning. 125 pages.

Reference Book Publishers, Inc, 1965. Hardcover. Good. No DJ. Aqua colored cloth boards are in good shape, but back board has some scrapes and scratches from shelf wear. Small stains on front and back, probably due to oily fingerprints. The corners have very minor signs of wear. The outside of page block has a couple of light fingerprint smudges. Spine is tight, pages are clean. Published by Reference Book Publisher, Clifton, New Jersey.

Chips, wearing and nicks to top and bottom edges of the dj, especially in the spine area. DJ has been placed in protective archival dust jacket. Inside flap of DJ has remnants of old price sticker. Black cloth boards have sun fading along top edge, with some scraping to edge. Gilt title on spine is nice a bright. Dented corners. Sad to say that the top of text block is quite foxed. Foxing is NOT on pages, endpapers, or paste-downs. Red stamped "H" within a circle on the FFE. Red ink stain on outside of textblock between pages 195-202, and smaller (very small) bits of red ink on a few other pages after page 202. All on outside of text block, which have deckled edges. 354 pages.

Northern Ireland Tourist Board, 1954. Softcover. Acceptable. Old softcover tourist guide with vertical crease, top to bottom, on the front wrap. Back wrap also has creases as well. Edges of spine are scraped, creases on the back wrap, bumped and worn corner tips. This nifty guide book has seen quite a bit of usage over the years. Bottom of spine has little tears at the spine edges. The wraps have wonderful illustrations that still retain the color, although there is yellowing to the white portions. The interior of the wraps do have toning. Some cracking in the hinge between front wrap and table of contents. Old pencil erasure marks at top corner of table of contents. The glossy and slick paper stock at the front of the book is lightly yellowed, the back half of the book is printed on a different type of paper stock and those have yellowed a bit more than the glossy pages at front of book. Soiled, and spotted. Some time ago, a clear mylar protective jacket has been placed over DJ. Wonderful illustrations by Richard Heighway: color on DJ and frontispiece, and black & white throughout the book. Blue cloth covered boards with vine type design on front board. Tips are worn and slightly dented. Wearing to cloth at spine ends. Interesting ex-libris sticker on front paste down. Remnants of old price sticker on backside of FEP. Pages are age-toned, with staining to some pages, small rips to other pages. Smyth sewn binding. A few sections are loose, with mull cloth exposed. Bumped page corners.
