Beautiful and elegant contemporary Roman binding in full mottled calf, richly gilt-tooled with classical floral motifs. Spine in six compartments. Round red morocco inlays to the centre of the boards with embossed initials "M. V." (Maria Vergine), surrounded by stars and within shining suns; stamped putti at the four cardinal directions. Original marbled endpapers, soberly gauffered edges gilt.
