London: I. Smith at Ye Lyon & Crown in Russel Street Covent Garden [c.1704].. Original mezzotint (35 x 25.5 cm., sheet 36 x 26.6 cm) engraved by Robert Williams after Michael Dahl. Wooden frame with gilt liner. A good, dark impression in very good condition. Portrait of Greville Verney, Second son of John Verney of Compton Verney (d. 1707) pointing towards North America on a globe. Michael I. Dahl (1659-1743) was a Swedish born portrait artist. Robert Williams was a Welsh engraver active c.1680 - 1704.
