This book is 5 by 7 inches. It is inscribed "Yuletide Good Wishes, Wm Jay Belknap" and autographed, "Truly Yours, Charles Eugene Banks" written on front page is Hilo December, 1921
The cover is made from Hawaiian paper made from sugar cane. There is a description of this on the inside front cover.

Hardcover. Condition: Price has been lowered due to condition problems. Still on of the greatest books in the hisotyr of photography.
Condition: Good but water stains at top of some pages. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Reprint. Reprint (1938.) Hardcover with dust jacket. 8vo with 196 pages and 87 plates. The book is good but about half the pages have water stains at the top and/or bottom of the pages not affecting the photos. Previous owners name in ink on front end page. The dust jacket is in good condition with some shelf wear and missing a small piece at top of spine and front, right corner, $2.50 price on front flap of DJ which is separated from the rest of the DJ. Lacking errata slip. "Photos of Americana and the human situations for which Walker is so well known. published for the first exhibition of Evans' photographs at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
