Description:
Achilles' Navel is a collection of poetry by Canadian poet, author, and artist Doug Fetherling, who has played a significant roll in Canadian literary culture. He used the name Doug Fetherling up until 1999, when he began publishing his work under the name George Fetherling.
This volume is in very good condition. The only significant issue is that it is missing the title label which should be on the front cover. There is a tear to the paper cover on the bottom of the spine and a small dent to the top edge of the back cover. The pages inside are entirely clear and bright, and the text is clear. The binding is also tight.

Description:
Robert Flanagan was a Canadian poet born in Toronto in 1946. This book, Incisions, was his second book of poetry published. The poems are unique for their incredible brevity, but are nevertheless, or perhaps because of this, all the more impactful. The collection includes a preface written by Margaret Atwood. In describing his poems, Atwood wrote in the preface: "Incisions is condensed poetry. The poems themselves are brief as haiku, but dropped into the mind they expand like paper flowers in water or shot bullets."
This copy is in very good condition with a dust jacket in good condition. There is a fair bit of wear to the dust jack, but otherwise it is intact. There are no obvious blemishes to the interior of the book.

Description:
Rif by Dorota Flatau (1874-1947) tells the story of a young English boy who is relived of the tedium of his restrictive upper class English life by a fairy named Rif, with whom he goes on adventures in a magical land. This world is brought to life by beautiful colour plates and black and white illustrations by Constance E. Rowlands.
This copy is in fair condition. There is significant foxing to the end papers and the title page, as well as to the edges of the pages. There is some foxing to internal pages, but it is not significant, and does not seem to compromise the integrity of the text or illustrations.
There is wear to fabric covering the boards, especially to the top and bottom of the spine and the edges. There is also staining to the back cover.
The gilt title and image on the front is faded, and that on the spine has darkened.
There is staining to the end papers, and the hinges are slightly cracked.
There is also a hand written note on the fly leaf.

Description:
A self-published book of sonnets and other verse by B.C. poet Donald A. Fraser. The book begins with a brief, one page discussion of the history of the sonnet. Each poem is accompanied at least by a date, and may also have the original place of publication, usually in a periodical or newspaper indicated. Some also indicate the inspiration behind the poem, and maybe the historical model on which the style is based. The poet's knowledge of the nuances of the sonnet are apparent in this brief explanations.
This volume is in very good condition. There is some light scuffing and bumping to the red fabric covering the boards, and the gold gilt title and decoration on the cover is faded. Internally the book is in excellent condition. There are remnants of a bookplate on the front pastedown and the name of a former owner on the front flyleaf.
