Collates " vi [9]-177pp [3]An uncommon treatise on coffee including its origins, the drink and how it is processed, its therapeutic use in medicine etc. This copy does not contain the two errata leaves sometimes found with the book, but not present in all copies.

Chromolithographed frontispiece, 40 chromolithographed plates, text in French and English, 4pp. of 'Notes' to rear. Some light spotting to the limitation page and to margins of first leaves, some offsetting, spotting to 'Notes' leaves. Original black half morocco over green cloth-covered boards, gilt vignette and lettering to upper cover, a few marks to lower cover. Note: this large paper edition on 'Japan' paper was published in a run of 100 copies, a further 500 copies were published on plate paper. The work is based on the aquatint version that was published in 1814. Provenance: C. Stacey (armorial bookplate to the front-free endpaper).

Assortimento delle Principali e piu' belle vedute di Venezia, original paper wrappers, upper wrapper is the title and has several tears. 12 of 16 engravings only, some light staining to plates, title torn, oblong 4to Teodoro Viero, Venice, 1820 (?). Note the contents are collated against a facsimile copy of the only print copy extant (held in the Getty Collection) and included here, showing a different order of the plates and which 4 are absent. A rare work. The Getty Collection copy is the only copy showing on Worldcat.
