As the size of the armed services increased so too did the demand for chaplains. Over 5,000 Christian and Jewish clergymen served as chaplains and of these 800 were Catholic priests. He and his brothers are brought up by their Yorkshire squire uncle, but Frazco, torn between various influences, after various emotional entanglements, becomes a great singer and declasse. In the sequel he marries an earl's daughter and their son inherits the Yorkshire estate. Condition: Good copies. The Bounty is in good order with some fading to the spine and boards' edges. The Polar Star has heavier fading and tanning to the spine and some damage to the head of the spine but both books remain in strong readable condition.
