A 473 page book titled "Philosophy of Apparitions". Rebound, the back cover detached. Contents appear to be in good shape. On inside covers is written in ink "The gift of Mrs. Burney to M. Isaacs." Housed in a slipcase.

Wearing along edges and corners, various linear abrasions across print, one abrasion over lower left of picnic table with emulsion loss as seen in images 4 - 6.

Printed letter heading in red "Katharine Houghton Hepburn"; Date typed "11-8-1982"; typed letter reads "Dear Albert Wittnebert, Thank you for your very nice letter."; signed "Katherine Hepburn" in pen on recto. Fine condition.

A binder of 70 single weight glossy photos c. 1940's-50's of distinguished patrons, movie stars and society types drinking and dining in the nightclub El Morocco nightclub in New York City with its iconic zebra patterned banquettes. Original 8" x 10" and some 5" x 7" publicity shots, many images of the nightclubs legendary impresario John Perona (owner and operator, originally opened as a speakeasy during prohibition) seated and posing with the clubs affluent clientele. Includes a few identified celebrities such as Eddie Duchin, Van Johnson, Hedy Lamarr, Lebert Lombardo, Enric Madriguera, Elsa Maxwell, Franklin Roosevelt Jr., Johnny Walker and Eleanor Young. One image 'photo by Howard Coyle' written in ink on verso with hand written notations; three images 'Max Peter Haas' copyright wet stamp on verso; a few images 'El Morocco Photo' copyright wet stamp on verso. An expertly tinted albumen photo imprinted with the photographer's credit "Jabez Hughes" and "Ryde I.W" on original printed mount memorializing the 1875 event. On the lower margin the following is neatly inscribed in script "Presentation by the Queen of New Colours to the 79th Cameron Highlanders of Parkhurst, 17th April, 1875". Print measures 6 1/4" x 8 1/2", mount 12" x 15". Very good condition, mount has scattered foxing and small 1/4" tear on right side but the print is in excellent condition with a few light areas of foxing. * Price includes discount *
