He experimented with the insanity of crowds by pulling what were called practical jokes. He got 100s of people interested in non existent events and showed how easily folks could be manipulated. One of his public pranks created the first picture post card!!. That first card made fun of postal workers and he sent it to himself. The prank was on him, as the post office thought this was a good idea and people started selling and mailing post cards. HIs original postcard sold for more than $40,000 recently.
