This is a must for anyone interested in first hand accounts of pre-civil war Texas.

Describes struggles as a young woman searching for meaning and later as a mature woman joining in the fight for equality. She describes quite well the issues Everywoman struggles with. Wants all women to listen to the voice inside themselves and not that of others trying to tell them what to think.

General Marshall writes a lucid narrative of the 25 years of war starting after the Civil War. An outstanding book seeking to separate the emotional from the military sciences.

A presentation copy signed by Joe Mashman. Mashman was a pioneer test pilot for helicopters and logged over 16,000 hours in helicopters. He saw the first helicopter rescue in 1945, completed by a Bell helicopter experimental aircraft. That hooked him on vertical aircraft. This is an important book about vertical aviation history and told from the perspective of a test pilot, who literally laid his life on the line for advancing aviation.. A great insight into what really happened in the industry. A must have item for the aviation enthusiast.

Story of how a Michigan woman ended up in Port Aransas with a fisherman husband and 4 children. I love books like this as they are telling an unvarnished story that hasn't been over sanitized. Elda May's story of her life on the Gulf Coast with a husband who hires out his fishing boat is unique. This is like sitting in her living room and listening to her stories. This is a Texana must, especially for the Gulf Coast stories you need.

This is a compilation of columns the author wrote for his newspaper. This is a must for getting a feel for the kind of life in small West Texas towns.

Hefner had faults in his personal and business life that dwarfed his public persona. A great read about one of the great male myths of the 20th century.
