Foxing to blank end papers and occasional light foxing to some blank margins of text. Bound in the original paper covered boards with cloth spine, publishers printed paper title label to upper board. The boards dust soiled, rubbing to outer edges and corners. The binding and contents tight. "Whittock was one of the first to publish lithograph illustrations systematically coloured by hand." Abbey Life 189. A very good copy in the original state of an un common title by Whittock.

Extra illustrated in pencil, the first page overdrawn with a nude female figure, followed by occasional erotic drawings to the margins of the text with occasional pencil notes. The original brown card covers a chalk and water colour scene to the upper cover. The spine banded with pink tape to strengthen. Printing to rear cover reads: "Not to be sold in England or USA" and sold for Hundred francs only. The binding tight. Also included a brown paper homemade dust cover with a coloured title in red with decorations, showing wear to edges and repaired tear.
