The edition consists of 160 copies, including 5 copies numbered from A to E with the hand-writing of the poet; 5 copies from F to L with original drawing by the artist, 30 copies from 1 to 30 with the 2 artist's proofs of the lithographs; 76 copies from 31 to 106 as normal; and 14 copies from I to XIV out of the commerce.Kumi Sugai was one of the first important Japanese modernists. Second issue, with the title-page dated 1718 (the very rare first issue is dated 1717). The first edition appeared in 1704 in quarto.
