In very good condition. Clearly better than average. First volume slightly worse than second with some small down low on spine(although binding is tight).It has name on innerside of front-wrapper and some small scuffing on front-wrapper and spine. Fresh inside without stians or foxing. The second part is overall just very good. A nice set of the second print.

Smells smoke. Otherwise mostly good. The condition is clearly visible in the pictures

The books have some foxing inside. Volume one small mark on back. Very minor tobacco smell almost impossible to make out even when smelling directly into the book. Definitely well-preserved for being such a early softcover print.
