Scarce early English work on pharmacy. Bound in contemporary full calf with Oxford Panels, neatly and sensitively rebacked, original label attached to new leather spine, loss of "L" to lectures on spine. Some rubbing to extremities, and some pitting to boards, but nevertheless presents well. The paper is clean and clear throughout. Excellent condition paper, very bright and clean. A genuinely rare item. Includes also a handwritten contemporary note on loose paper, headed "Regimen" and with particular treatments written, with ingredients for Cures and Purgatives. Some loss to bottom of this leaf. A unique item.
