The sleeved dustwrapper printed on wartime economy paper, with small chips at the head and a shelfmark in white ink. Endpapers with the stamp of a college library. Contents clean and tight with the appearance of being unread. A very good copy.

Double page map, 33 sectional maps illustrated with real photographs and one leaf of photographs of sights on the Warwickshire Avon which has a sepia printed background. Red pictorial cloth binding with gilt and black decoration of foliage and a dragonfly. The spine and head of the boards are faded but still an attractive binding. The endpapers show some marks from old repairs which have been removed. The front board paper has an small ink blot and an inscription dated 1880. Internally clean and tight. A well restored example.

Two engraved frontispieces, the first folding. Contemporary Cambridge style paneled calf, the spine unlettered. Joints just beginning to crack, otherwise a very good copy. Internally clean and tight throughout.

London: Robert Hardwicke,, 1866.. 1866 Contained in Popular Science Review, Vol. V, 1866. pp.145-152. Illustrated with Woodbury process mounted portraits of Liebig and Huxley. Bound in contemporary half calf. The spine with raised bands and a contrasting label. The front joint is beginning to split at the foot and the top corners are bumped. The contents are crisp and tight. Woodbury's process marked an important advance in photographic printing processes. The volume also contains a paper on Coffee by Baron Liebig, and on The Electrical Principles of the Atlantic Telegraph by G.C. Foster.

Red roan spine over marbled boards, rubbed but sound. The paper toned and some signs of handling but a good copy overall. First published in 1809 with 35 plates, it was reprinted in 1814 with 37 illustrations and in 1818 and 1828 with 76. Minnie Traylen has signed her name three times on the front endpapers and title, once dated 1867. Darton G913 (12).

The title page and final blank endpaper strengthened on the fore edge, with three pages of shorthand notes on the rear blanks. Beza's Latin, Greek, and French texts are printed in parallel columns throughout. The fore edge of the title is neatly strengthened and there is a part title to Apostolicas Epistolas & Apocalypsin.
