With Binding intact. No loose or missing pages. Leaves are deckled edge. No tears. In Volume 2 there a a few pages that were stained with newsclippings. Clippings are removed and included in sale. They are from 1922-1925. Also a garden clipping. Original owner. Canvas on board canvas has edge wear and lightened fabric. Paper labels on spine are browned, Volume two label is split.
Included is a letter by Samuel Floyd Platt of Newtown PA. Whose grandfather was General William Floyd, signer of Declaration of Independent of the William Floyd Estate on Long Island. Letter inquires about property of Mrs. Lanier, whose books these can be assumed. As there is also an envelope from a property, and all the news clippings deal with property or people from Mastic.
