Description:
New York: The Tea and Coffee Trade Journal Company, 1922. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Heavy brown cloth hardcover, 1st edition, with gilt titles. A good plus copy. Worn at the corners and spine extremeties, with bending and discoloration. General shelfwear to the board edges, and some darkening to the brown cloth from age and use. Soiling and scuffing to the text block edges. Hinges are solid and the binding is strong. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown appears to be the only marking in the volume. The pages themselves are clean and bright with magazine style thickness. A mix of colorized and black and white illustrations and photos throughout. 796 pp., including a robust bibliography and index. This volume chronicles everything from the agriculture and propagation side of the industry, to the commerce and trade that introduced coffee to Europe, England, and North America. Difficult to find - and this copy is more attractive than most.

Description:
Prague: Published by the author. Pamphlet. Good. Signed and inscribed by sculptor Milan Benda on the title page in blue and dated 1991. A fair to good copy of this brief, seemingly self-published pamphlet. Wear to the covers, including some soiling and scuffing, along with minor crinkling spineward. The interior is unmarked other than the artist's inscription but there are a few stray spots of soiling inside as well. 18 pp., text in English, Czech, and German, photos in color and black/white. Milan is the younger son of famed Czech sculptor Bretislav Benda.

Text in Chinese, comprised of "running script, regular script and cursive script documents from 135 artists, as well as more than 200 inscriptions and postscripts, and more than 1,600 seals." (OCLC WorldCat). Heavy oversized hardcover in dustjacket, a very good copy. This book is beautifully bound in heavy red boards with gilt spine lettering and device. The front board is stamped with the title and square floral boxed design. A clean and straight copy in a solid binding, with some bunching to the material toward the joints. Minor soiling to the covers and crimping at the head of the spine. The lower rear board has a bump exposing the paper, and there's a blemish to the same board ad the front edge - pin-prick sized showing through to the board. Still very good with these small flaws. The dustjacket is also very good - crisp and bright with minor wear at the…
