A handsome very good copy. Quite uncommon with only one copy showing at University of California, Davis and one copy at the F.D.R. library.

Very good overall condition. Underground newspaper covering the seminal events of the counterculture revolution. Includes Uncle Tuli's Peaceful Protest, article on the Monterey Pop Festival, Lil Picard and more. Not folded.

The first issue was entitled Gothic Blimp Works Prsents: Jive Comics. Originally edited by Vaughn Bode, but laterBhob Stewart, Kim Deitch and others. Billed as the first Sunday underground comic paper. Illustrated in both color and black and white. All eight issues are folded. Each issue shows edgewear (particularly Issue No. 1 which is in only good condition). The other seven issues vary slightly in condition, but are generally in very good condition. Rare complete set. Should be handled with care due to paper age and toning.

Six early issues from the first year of publication of Columbia University's student answer to their west coast counterparts in the world of underground newspapers. Columbia definitely took the higher ground with less psychedelia and more serious content. Still, issues covered varying subjects of protest and the Viet-Nam war. Issue size varied, but all include anywhere from 10 to 18 pages. Some light expected tanning to paper, else very good indeed. Roughly 11 x 15" tall. Surprisingly uncommon.

Volume 1 Number 4 of John Bryan's underground comic newspaper with features by Jay Lynch and others. Folded twice for mailing else in clean very good condition. The first section is in color. Folded for mailing else a superb copy. Slightly darkened at fold. Paper tanned, as expected.

Issue number four of this underground newspaper offshoot of The San Francisco Oracle which was edited by Allen Cohen. This issue includes an interview with Beatle George Harrison, an article on Ravi Shankar, great colorful psychedelic artwork and more. Not folded and in handsome very good condition.

Fantastic reference work on the history and back story of the creation of R. Crumb's legendary humor comics anthology. A fine, as-new copy in photo-illustrated boards. Issued without dustwrapper. This copy, one of a small number that were signed at an event in New York City to celebrate the publication of the book. This copy is SIGNED BY R. CRUMB, ALINE-KOMINSKY CRUMB, DREW FRIEDMAN, JON B. COOKE and P. GABBE.

Volume 2, Number 3 of this underground newspaper / magazine documenting the hippie scene in the Yorkville area of Toronto in the late 60's. 30 pp including covers. Great Human Be-In advertisement on the rear panel. Article on Gathering of the Tribes and formation of the Yorkville Diggers included in this issue. Printed on inexpensive newspaper stock. Paper is a bit toned with age as might be expected, otherwise in unmarked very good condition. Uncommon as are all the issues of this magazine.
