Vault Of Horror (1950-5) continues the numbering of processor War Against Crime, where The Vault Keeper made his initial appearances. Its numbering is therefore #12-40, giving a total of 29 issues. It is unique at EC in that Johnny Craig drew every single cover & he managed an illustrated story in all but two issues. From issue #35, Craig was put in charge, as editor but he found it a slow laborious task, else more titles may have been placed under his control. The temperamental artist, Berni Krigstein thrived & drew four classic stories for the later issues. Craig & Krigstein were joined by a wealth of talented illustrators, familiar names to all EC fans.
