Also the Regulations for the Formation of the Collegiate Board, with the Authorities Vested in the Same'. Contemporary speckled full calf, smooth back, divided into six panels with gilt rules and palettes, each compartment with a tool of military drum, flag and gun, gilt roll border to covers, gilt roll to edges, upper cover with attractive large morocco title label, 'shell' style marbled endpapers. Slightly rubbed externally, small amount of loss to head cap. Internally quite bright and clean. Text is signed C. Yorke at the end, National Trust suggests Charles Philip Yorke (1764-1834; Home Secretary 1803-4). Uncommon, with four locations in Library Hub. First Edition. Hardback. Good+. 8vo.

Covers detached and split, some chipping to spine, small ink stain to fore-edge of front cover, previous owners name to head of page one. Internally quite bright. Tells the story (from the Memoirs of Charles Mayne Young) of the commercial traveller, who came upon the battle of Waterloo, decided to stay and watch (!) and ended up being used as a messenger by Wellington, to enact an order which was regarded by Wellington as pivotal. Scarce, no copies located on COPAC or elsewhere . First Edition. Paper Covers. Fair. 16mo. Pamphlet.
