A charming album of ballooning photographs assembled by a French ballooning enthusiast. Beautiful cover with two ballooning photographs mounted on a painted floral design. Contains (50) bromide photographs, most glued to the mounts, of balloon ascensions during the summer of 1900. Some with photographers name "C. Moulinet" along with a date inscribed in the negative. Loosely inserted in the album are six Real Photo Postcards of the first Coupe Gordon Bennett in September of 1906, the world's oldest gas balloon race. Also includes a couple of technical ink sketches of balloon rope details. Various sizes, with the smallest 1 1/2" x 2 1/2", most are 5" x 3 1/2". Prints are in very good condition, some silvering on the Real Photo Postcards, some foxing throughout board pages.

A 231 page cloth hardcover book from Miller & wright of paper samples with a Maxfield Parrish style illustration on front cover. Some paper samples have hand written notations in ink. In decent shape, some browning on paper edges, some soil and wear but overall good condition.

A bound volume of the first two years of newsletters from 1926-1927 of a British camera club devoted to pictorial photography. Includes (27) half tone illustrations of examples of the members' work with titles and credits either typed or written neatly in pencil. Approx 250, 10" x 8 1/2" x 1", binding is intact but outer cover of spine is separated from binding as seen in image 4. Illustrations are in very good condition.

An expertly tinted albumen photo imprinted with the photographer's credit "Jabez Hughes" and "Ryde I.W" on original printed mount memorializing the 1875 event. On the lower margin the following is neatly inscribed in script "Presentation by the Queen of New Colours to the 79th Cameron Highlanders of Parkhurst, 17th April, 1875". Print measures 6 1/4" x 8 1/2", mount 12" x 15". Very good condition, mount has scattered foxing and small 1/4" tear on right side but the print is in excellent condition with a few light areas of foxing. * Price includes discount *

A set of (41) albumen photographs dated from 1872 of various sculptures in the collection of the British Museum including Egyptian Antiquities, Assyrian Antiquities, Etruscan and Roman. Mounted one per page. Tones generally very good - exceptional. Many bearing the blind-stamp of "W. A. Mansell." Plates are all numbered and are in nice clean condition. Cover worn and soiled as seen in images, contents fine. Binding intact. Handwritten inscription in ink on inside cover.

A wonderful 8" x 6" bromide print on double weight glossy paper of three patriots celebrating the end of Spanish rule in the Philippines Archipelago, posing with banner "Adelante La Colonia Filipina" and another banner "Centro Filipino de Rella Octubre 1899." "Photographie - Philippine" written in pencil on verso. Fine condition, wearing along edges as seen in images, linear indentations across print visible under specular light as seen in image.
