First Edition of one of the first works dedicated to the social phenomenon of "Cicisbeo". This custom which had appeared in Italy in the beginning of the 18th century and was exported later to Spain (exclusively) consisted in endowing the married ladies of the high society, with a young "knight servant" who was allowed to escort them everywhere, in public as well as in their private apartments. The present work is a violent attack against this trend, accused to be immoral and scandalous. Today, the "Cicisbeo" is seen as an intent of female emancipation tending to endorse women with the same privileges as men, who were often seen in the company of their official lover.
