Raised bands on the spine with a nice title section. Gilt on spine and leather edges. Some rubbing to the corners and the color of the spine is faded when compared to the leather corners. Unmarked pages without flaws.

The front and rear inside paper hinges have torn paper but are not loose. Minimal foxing on text pages but the page edges are dark. Two swifts flying on the front board with the words bordered in gilt. The top of the spine has been nibbled away with a loss of 1/4 x 1/2 inch of cloth. I still rate this book overall as good. Not dated but late 1800's
