Remember young Dollan mounting that old woman. Looked like a bloody witch. I still remember her nearly bald head.
Well!
Any you chucked young Dollan off, and got into bed with her yourself.
Page 29."
A very good example.

Description:
First Edition.Octavo, original cloth, gilt lettering to spine, dust jacket designed by Michael MacManus, pp. 251. Published by Hamish Hamilton (London), 1981.
A neat ownership inscription to the front free endpaper, a little pulling to the spine ends, gentle fading to the spine of the dust jacket, though not as much as is usually the case. A Near Fine copy.
Signed by the Author to the title page, with the signing event ticket laid in, indicating the date and location where the book was signed.
According to the Author, only 1,500 copies of his first title were produced in the first print run. It is rarer still to obtain an attractive copy of this title signed by the Author. A wonderful addition to any Modern Firsts' Collection.
