There seems to be very few copies available. Binding slightly skewed at front board; o/w a VG+ copy. A comprehensive detailing of the Garson population, with plenty of photos, including a section at the back titled "Picture Gallery".

An attractive book but the publisher cheaped out on the endpapers, they being simple paper with an unattractive design. I don't think I've seen another example of this from Easton. (They did reprint the book in 1990 with their usual silk endpapers.) Collector's Notes included. Signed by Pohl on a tipped-in page.

A collection of papers explaining the role and workings of the Canadian Army, beginning with an address at St. John, N.B. on 28th Nov. 1941 by Lt.-Col. Mess, Director of Recruiting, which is an appeal for Canadian men to join the Canadian Army to aid the war effort in Europe. Grey card wraps with illus. of a soldier on the front cover. Minor edgewear and soiling; pages browned; o/w a VG copy.

George has written candidly of the good times and the hurtful times. In the summer of 1982, having largely exhausted the piano literature that interested him, he made his first recording as a conductor, and he had ambitious plans for several years' worth of conducting projects but, shortly after his 50th birthday, Gould suffered a massive stroke.
