Inscribed January 1st, 1928 to Antoinette from Eleanor. I was not able to trace these names to any specific person or persons but perhaps they have connections to interesting things. Overall very good condition with minor flaws; small stain on front cover, foxing to inside of covers, else fine with clean pages, no bumps, solid binding and hinges (practically unread), and bright gilt on inside covers, spine, and edges. Owner's name on the inside front cover. Some staining and soiling to the spine and outsides of the pages, but the pages on the inside are clean and unmarked. The previous owner, while I could not exactly track him, is possibly a former soldier however likely dod not fight in world war two. Book is in overall good shape with no major structural concerns and no major cosmetic concerns. Binding is detached from spine at top but still fully intact. Illustrated throughout in black-and-white including one full page color plate. A comprehensive account of the great fleet including many battle plans and other information. The book is overall in good plus condition. There are a few minor cosmetic and structural imperfections. The bottom of the pages is lately foxed as are the pages up to the title page.
