Author Seido Iwata is both a master of the traditional art of Ikebana as well as a contemporary offshoot she pioneered at her School of Seki-So-Ryu (School of the Rocks and the Flowers). Cover design is by famed Franco-Japanese Modernist artist Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, the author's cousin.No date, but probably published in the late 1950s, after the 1954 publication of a similar book by Iwata in Japan. 88 pages with numerous B&W and color images of flower arrangements.
This hardcover edition is in very good+ condition, with only some tanning on the spine, light bumping on board corners and internal separation of a small section of one of the internal pages from a red glassine cover sheet. Includes the paper wrap-around title band in lieu of a dust jacket. Book is contained in a hard board, glossy black slip cover with red title label pasted on, in good condition.
