Huntington. Boards in burgundy cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Slight soiling on text block edges. Interior is crisp, clean and unmarked. Two volumes in one. Spanish language. The epic poem by the Basque-Spanish soldier and poet Alonso de Ercilla y Zuniga (1533-1594), wherein he describes and celebrates the military conflict between the Spaniards and the Araucanian/Mapuche people of Chile. Ercilla had been a first hand witness to the conflict and participated in the fighting during his years in Chile, 1556-1563.

A genealogical record of the descendants of Abraham Lakin (ca. 1695-1745) and his wife Martha Lee Lakin (1699-1744) of Prince George's County and the Old Monocacy region of western Maryland. Includes references (323 different sources, including personal correspondence) and a name index (Lakin surname only, approximately 2000 names). The author, Dr. David Vernon Agricola (1946-2006), is a descendant of Abraham Lakin, through the line of his great-grandson, Thomas Lakin (1804-1893). This volume was based on his many years of research and with the aid of a large network of persons.
