New York: Workman, 2006. First Edition. Softcover. New. Bunky Hurter. Yes, there are some glamorous and even sexy pictures in this handbook, but more importantly, it answers the questions real women have about lingerie but seldom have a way of asking, like, "Does this fit?" or "How do I get that look?" or "That can't possibly be comfortable...can it?" The Lingerie Handbook is as much a reference book and a shopping and care guide as anything else, amply illustrated and full of do's and dont's for all kinds of "underpinnings" and sleepwear. It even has sections specifically for men. Description:
New York: Yorkville Press, 2003. Hardcover. As new/Very Good. 224 pages of doggie goodness, with pictures--mostly full-color photographs--on almost every page, Love Heels was written to demonstrate the work the non-profit organization Canine Companions for Independence does to pair service dogs with people with disabilities. The book doesn't just tell the stories of these partnerships, either. It tells the stories of the volunteers who make the program successful and charts the progress of a service dog, from birth through puppyhood and training and onto the different types of jobs the dogs do. Ours is a very good copy (actually, better than that), with the only flaw being a clipped price on the inside dust jacket. Library of Congress description: Description: 224 p. : col. ill. ; 26 cm.

New York: DC Comics, 2003. Hardcover. New. Enrique Breccia. H.P. Lovecraft is renowned for his strange, supernatural, and horrific inventions, most notably the demon Cthulu, a terrifying enormous tentacled creature who has been firmly entrenched as one of the ultimate monsters in popular culture. Indeed, Lovecraft's work has had a major influence on horror, science fiction, and fantasy, inspiring some of the best writers and filmmakers of our time. Relatively unknown during his lifetime, Lovecraft's life and the tragedies that marked it have long been a subject of curiosity. In this graphic novel, screenwriter Hans Rodionoff, comics writer Keith Giffen (known for DC Comics Legion of Super-Heroes, Justice League, and Lobo), and comic artist Enrique Breccia take up an imaginative exploration of Lovecraft's life, one in which he is haunted by terrifying creatures, which may be troubled visions or may be real. What Publishers' Weekly calls "a grotesque and disturbing visual experience" is an impressive…
