Eleven of the poems have checkmarks in black ink next to their titles on their respective pages; additional black ink mark to dedication page and table of contents. Dime-size discoloration to dedication page.
Related item laid in: a card featuring a design by Tony Byrd on the cover with the poem "A Christmas Note to My Mother, In Heaven." The card is signed - in red ink - "Fred and Martha."
