An original blind-stamped CARL VAN VECHTEN portrait of Roy Wilkins, identical to his portrait in the Library of Congress. Titled on verso in Carl Van Vechten's hand "Roy Wilkins, secretary of the NAACP." 5 1/4" x 3 1/4". Good condition, four linear cracks in emulsion as seen in image 4, some wearing along edges.

A staple-bound album titled on the spine Album No. 1 ANGLAIS NUS containing 35 corner-mounted gelatin silver photographs. Mostly 5" x 3", with (2) 8" x 10" and some 6" x 4" ARAX prints, some imprinted with the photographer's name "Vic White". A number of the models are identified: Sammy Perkins, Reuben Martin, Harry Berryman, Dennis Patey, Vic White, Bill Mascall, etc. Cover features mounted photograph. Interleaving tissue between pages. 41 total photographs including cover image. Some images detached from page. Some silver mirroring and light abrasions to prints. Center section detached from binding.

A 1920 album containing over (40) original photographs approx. 3 1/4" x 5 1/4", most in postcard format, by various British amateur photographers of various subjects. All signed and titled in pencil by the photographers. Includes (7) photos from behind of a young man installing photos for an exhibition. Some browning along page edges, minor wear to covers. A few prints have silvering, otherwise in fine condition. Two-hole string tie binding, 61 pages.

Original 1976 hardcover Portraits by Richard Avedon with Avedon's 1977 pencil inscription to Evelyne on right endpaper, the left endpaper to Evelyne from designer Jacques Bellini in ballpoint pen. The Avedon signature has some slight smudging. The bottom edge of the book has evidence of having been exposed to damp conditions and has a wavy appearance on some pages. Otherwise good condition. Plastic bookcover.

A group of (14) 1899 sepia tone bromide photos of Puerto Rico during the Spanish American War. All prints are captioned with handwritten labels affixed to page, prints are mounted two to a page on both sides of an album page. Some typical subjects but the more interesting include a cockfight (captioned "the national sport"), murderer of Private Burke of 47th N.Y. Regiment at Caguas, two views made on Independence Day July 4, 1899 of a boat race and barbecue and a shell that damaged a house. Other prints include views of workers pounding coffee, countryside plazas, huts etc. Images approx. 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", Album pages 14" x 11" each. Very good condition, clean prints.
